ADMISSION NOTICE

Katihar Medical College invites applications on prescribed form for admission to 1st year MBBS course 2018-19 in Katihar Medical College, Katihar, Bihar. The College is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.

Date of counselling : as prescribed by BCECE Board

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, Council or University and must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

Candidates should have passed English as a compulsory/core subject. For candidates belonging to SC/ST or OBC, the minimum qualifying marks is 40% and for the candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs as defined by the MCI, the minimum qualifying marks is 45% taken together in qualifying examination.

The candidates must attain the minimum age of 17 years on or before 31^st December, 2024.

NEET

Candidates must have qualified NEET examination and obtained minimum marks of 50^th percentile in ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test’ held for academic year 2018-19.

However, in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the minimum marks shall be 40^th percentile. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs as defined by the MCI, the minimum marks shall be 45^th percentile.
